I. Body* Preparation

With Body* Preparation we aim to combine a systemic, whole body activation with a specific activation of selected areas. This can include balancing exercises, playful partner training or anatomical/conceptual training and research.

Next to the physical activation we want to emphasize the body-mind connection by integrating mindfulness based exercises in every session.

Form Practice means technical training of selected moves. The road towards these moves can lead our students to explore a number of variations as well as their own individual paths. The training is always progressive in nature and starts with fundamental principles. This way we invite both experienced movers as well as beginners of any age to join our practice.
In each course, we want to build an expandable and -for the students- memorable movement vocabulary.

II. Form Practice

In our class context Movement Research means working with guided improvisational scores often deriving from the four research pools. (←click to learn more)
We work with opposing movement qualities like
strength & control VS. softness & fluidity in order to approach and explore the whole spectrum of human movement.

III. Movement Research

With guided creative tasks in which students create their own combinations and flows we want to promote individuality as well as the inherent artistry each student brings to the course. When working on “Creation” we emphasize the joint process and the creative journey while the result is just a byproduct of this process.

IV. CREATION
